As any person that has tried to put on muscle will know, building vast amounts of muscle is not easily done!
I see some people go to the gym every day lifting as many weights as possible but never making any noticeable gains in muscular development.
In this article I go into detail with the 3 Simple Steps to Build Muscle.
1. Diet an Nutrition. As well all know protein is the main building block of muscle. Bodybuilders take in almost 2g of protein per 1 lbs of body weight to make the massive gains they make. For the average person I would recommend a minimum of 1g of protein per 1 lbs of body weight. The source of this protein should be a combination of meat and protein supplementation.
2. Exercise. To build muscle quickly we should focus on full body compound movement, weight based exercises. An example of some of the best compound movements are the squat, the deadlift, the bench press, the bent over row and the pull-up / chin-up.
Not only will these few exercise, stimulate muscle growth over every muscle in the body, but they will also stimulate testosterone production.
3. Rest. Over training will actually take away from your gains. You should try to sleep for 8 hours a night, and always give 48 hours between training sessions.
